![]() Brigid Amor -Run under cold tap water for several minutes or wash (without any soap etc.- you don’t want to pollute) in a natural water source such as a lake or stream. -Place in bright sunlight for an hour or so (be careful not to do this to certain stones, such as amethyst, rose quartz, ametrine, kunzite, celestite, aquamarine, smoky quartz, and flourite, as the colors of these stones fade quickly in the sun). -Bury in the earth for several days, making sure to mark exactly where you’ve burried your stone. -Place in salt-water (1 cup of water with 1/8 of a cup of salt in a ceramic or glass bowl.) Allow the stone to soak in the salt-water for several hours or overnight. Be incredibly careful which stones you use this for as some stones may be degraded by the salt water. -Smudge the stone with sage, cedar or juniper. -Leave your crystal or stone outside under the moonlight in a protected area for a night.
