![]() ![]() Aibell: With a name meaning “most beautiful”, Aibell was an Irish faerie queen who played a magical harp that was so beautiful humans could not listen to it’s music or they would die. In her time, Aibell made her home on a large rock in Killaloe called DalgCais. Bri: A faerie queen of the Tuatha De Danann. Cred: A cursed faerie queen that lived in Dana’s mountains, she could not sleep until the most incredible poem was written about her secret, hidden home. Her heart was finally woman by a man named Coll who finally wrote the poem and released her. Fand: A notable faerie for her marriage to Mannan mac Lir, the sea god. Fedelma: Prophesized Queen Maeve’s victory at Ulster. Commonly seen wearing a gold dress with long blonde hair. Grian: A faerie that lied under Pallas Green Hill. Liban: Guardian of Ireland’s sacred wells, Liban (meaning “beautiful woman”) is able to shape shift into a salmon with her faerie dog (which becomes an otter) so they may swim in the open sea. Mab (Maeve): The most notable faerie queen, Mab was known for a fiery temper, a mischevious nature, iron will and long golden hair. Mab was considered Queen of Connacht and was married first to King Ailill, then to Cuchulain who later became a sacrifice to the Gods after an epic battle with his wife. Maeve (meaning intoxicated woman) was not only a powerful leader but a warrioress, huntress, temptress and horsewoman and became famous for both the Cattle Raid of Cooley, over which the war at Ulster was fought due to Maeve’s desire for the Ulster bull, and for the death of her second husband at her hand.
