![]() ![]() Broceliande : Believed to be the home of King Arthur’s Camelot, the Broceliande forest of France even has a fountain in which only one with a pure heart can see Viviane, the famous Lady of the Lake. Brugh: A faerie home as viewed from the inside (the interior of the home)- often interchangeable with “sithein.” Usually the home of one family but often the home of whole communities. Bryn y Ellyllon: The Hill of the Goblins in Somerset. Castle Neroche : An area in Somerset that was said to be the home of the faeries, whom were blamed for the panic that overcame a group of gold hunters which all died within a month. Fairy Islands: Islands owned by the fae on which there is endless spring and happiness and aging and sickness do not exist. Some are thought to be floating, while others are believed to be underwater. The most commonly known islands are Tir Nan Og (the Land of the Young), Tirfo Thuinn (the Land Under the Waves), Tir Nam Beo (Land of the Living), the Isles of the Blest, Tirn Aill (the Other World), Tir Tairngire (the plain of Happiness), Mag Mor (the Great Plain) and Mag Mell (the Pleasant Plain.) Gump Hill: A hill near Cornwall, said to be a common meeting place for the fae. Hy Breasail: "Isle of the Blest", said to be the home of the fae to the west of Ireland as well as the Irish version of Atlantis. According to myth, St. Brendan the navigator was said to have set out to discover Hy Breasail but instead disappeared or alterntatively discovered North America. Isle of Avalon: According to King Arthur legend, Avalon was the home of the Lady of the Lake (Vivianne or Morgaine depending on the legend) who was said to be the most powerful sorceress in Britain and to have brought King Arthur to his true destiny. Isle of Man: The most famous home of the fae in the UK. Isle of Skye: According to one account, the MacCrimmon family (a family of Scottish pipers) were granted their musical gifts by the Seelie Court in return for their unselfish wish to serve their country. Karnach: Once the home of the Korrigan nation which had it’s main city under Karnach in the South of France (Brittany). Knockma Hill: Said to be the home of King Firvarra’s palace in which he is said to still hold court over the Daoine Sidhe. Sithein: The name of any place that the fae live.
