![]() ![]() One of the things that has become a strong central idea of paganism, wicca and witchcraft is that we all have an obligation to not turn away from the wrongs being committed in the world in order to protect that which cannot protect itself. It is understood among the pagan community that to ignore an action is to condone it by default, therefore making it important to speak out when we see a wrong being committed, whether it be against the community, the earth, animals or other human beings. These ideas have given birth to the concept of pagan activism which has grown in the last few years to the point where most pagan sites and groups are not complete without a charitable cause they support. From articles in the Wikipedia to newspaper articles and televised news articles, pagans, wiccans and witches are slowly gaining a stronger and stronger reputation of being ethical and moral human beings that care deeply about the well-being of those around them and should continue to earn this reputation in the future. In this spirit, have a read through this section and think about what you can do for those around you.
